I wanted to raise money for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven because several friends have already passed through the doors, and come out successfully, one unfortunately didn’t make it though, only through the exit door to life.
The unit is an excellent local facility to ease the pain and burden of this terrible condition but offering very comfortable surroundings, empathic staff and giving whole care to the patient and family.
I took on the challenge of walking 200 miles across Scotland coast to coast, backpacking and wild camping. In total I raised over £2012 for the charity. The challenge was quite life changing – amazing to be in the wilderness of Scotland witnessing magnificent scenery and wildlife only achievable by walking miles and miles.
I have also collected over 140 bras which have contributed to raising funds for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven!
